Caution: Before repairing or maintaining your Makita PA18 power tool battery, ensure safety by removing the battery and bit from the machine in accordance with the instruction manual.
Assembling the Makita 1822 power tool battery complete intructions
- Rotate the Keyless drill chuck clockwise until it rests on the end of the spindle’s threaded portion.
- Attach the short end of the Hex wrench 8 to the drill chuck, and clamp the long end of the Hex wrench 8 in a vise.
- Set the Speed change lever to low speed mode and the F/R change lever to the forward (clockwise) rotation mode. Then, install the Makita 4334D power tool battery.
- Hold the machine securely and pull the switch trigger to rotate the spindle until the motor locks in place. Note: Allow the spindle to reach full speed within one second and release the switch trigger immediately after the spindle is locked.
- Tighten the Keyless drill chuck using an M6x22 Flat head screw by turning counterclockwise with an impact driver. Note: If reusing the removed M6x22 Flat head screw, apply adhesive to the threaded portion. Makita genuine M6x22 Flat head screws for securing the Keyless drill chuck are threadlocker screws.
